Now available on the X FactoryRC.com store are beautiful blue anodized 1-way units imported from England.
These heavy duty units are individually CNC machined to fit the X - 5 as well as the xxx-4 and xx-4 with
no modifications. |

The one-way clutching bearings are much larger than on the Losi #3245 unit and usually hold up much longer.
The outdrives are also machined aluminum, so you'll not likely break an outdrive while leading the A main!
Made by Lesro Models in Dorset, U.K., these are low production volume parts made specially for our cars. The X - 5 units include a CNC machined 28-T pulley and are a drop-in fit on the X Factory car. Normally Lesro do not make or sell them without the pulley, but we have obtained a small number that way for our friends with Losi xxx-4s. |

We posted on our forum board that these one-ways come with outdrive bearings, but that was a mistake -- no
outdrive bearings are included. However, the bearings you are currently running will fit perfectly, so you
do not need to buy new outdrive bearings. Customers who purchase the one-way without pulley to fit a xxx-4 or X - 5 must slightly increase the size of four diff ball holes in their pulley and must also increase the size of the center hole. The center hole must be enlarged due to the larger one-way clutching bearings in this unit. A small file, drill, or Dremel can be used for this work, and it's easy to perform. The kit includes four 2 X 8 metric screws and washers needed to attach the gear. The outdrive bearing spacer ring, included with every one-way, is anodized a matching blue to complete your installation. |

While we can made no guarantee with a part of this nature, we were at Long Island Raceway in the spring of '06 when a driver with one of these units experienced a glitch and went off the end of the main straight at full speed head on into the concrete wall. His X - 5 was wrecked: chassis broken, bulkhead, shock tower, a control arm. The one-way survived just fine and is still running in his car with no failures as this is written in June. That impressed us, and we had to get them for you. You'll find them at the bottom of our Parts Store. |
