Winter Series at Washtenaw Raceway in MI!

Every winter, drivers from all over the Midwest head to Washtenaw R/C Raceway in Ann Arbor for the bi-weekly Off-road series. Races average 150 entries and racing goes on well into the next day. Washtenaw R/C offers a hard-packed but low traction racing surface and good variety of jumps and obstacles. The low traction surface killed off the Mod Buggy class but created a very strong Stock Buggy class. Nick Sava, wheeling a first generation X-6, won the series points race with a dominating 15 point lead over second place. He won all but one of the series races he entered and held the track record in the class by several seconds. Mod Truck is always a large class at Washtenaw, averaging a C-main every week. Again, Nick Sava with his X-60 took the win with numerous race victories and podium finishes. Congratulations Nick on an excellent season!

Special Thanks to Nick Sava for his excellent race report.
