CADE BIVENS DOMINATES
CANCER BENEFIT RACE

Cancer Society benefit race was held the weekend of Sept 23 at The Boneyard Racetrack in Mayfield, Ky. Bivens TQed and won 2WD short course and led every lap of the mod buggy A main. The Boneyard puts on this great race each year with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. For 2014 fast guys from 4 different states attended for some good close racing.

Bivens TQ'd round one of mod SC qualifying with a good clean run. Round two was disappointing as some changes didn’t work well, but the SCX – 60CF was at its best in round three as Cade re-set his own TQ and pulled a lap on the field. The 10 minute main was a relaxed wire-to-wire drive.

Cade’s X – 6 Cubed was good throughout qualifying, with Cade second on the grid for the A main. With eighth scales running all day, the outdoor track had large (for 10th scale) jumps and was beginning to get bumpy, but Bivens’ Cubed was making noticeably better traction than any other car on its J Concepts 3Ds. With some stiff competition on his wing most of the way Cade led every lap, pulling away in the last few laps for a good strong win.

Cade said, “My X Factory rides handled the outdoor track with eighth scale sized jumps great. I couldn't have asked for better handling tenth scales on a track of that size.”
