Easy Precise Adjustment for X - 5 Belt Tension! |
Thanks to William Headley for this idea. Bill removed the rear mounting screw from his idler bar and replaced it with a ball stud. He put a nut on the back side, double-nutting the ball stud so the idler bar slides but does not wobble. William installed a short ball stud by screwing it into the belt tunnel just behind the bearing boss. Now, to adjust belt tension, he just loosens the front screw on the bar, twists the turnbuckle, and it's done -- perfect adjustment in very fine increments and sooo easy! |
