Slipper Shaft Parts Left of plate are spacer and bearing, a "regular" 3/16 X 3/8 bearing. These assemble on "short" side of drive gear. Drive gear is held on shaft with a roll pin. Prototype gear is pictured on shaft with two teflon flanges to hold belt on gear. Production plastic gear will have flanges molded in. On "long" side of shaft go standard Losi buggy slipper plate, custom-made 100-tooth spur gear with standard Losi slipper pucks and second slipper plate. Then, shown next to the shaft, a spacer, another bearing, another spacer, and standard Losi slipper spring, retainers, and 4X40 nylock nut. Steel shaft is custom-made for the X - 5. |
